COMMUNITY HEART & SOUL® AND LEGACY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO ENHANCE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN LAKE COUNTY, INDIANA
Shelburne, VT (August 15, 2024) – In an effort to strengthen small cities and towns in Lake County, Indiana, Community Heart & Soul and Legacy Foundation are partnering to provide access to a proven model for resident-driven community engagement.
Community Heart & Soul engages the entire population of a town in identifying what they love most about their community, what future they want for it, and how to achieve it.
Legacy Foundation identified Community Heart & Soul as a process that could help achieve their mission of transforming Lake County and to improving the quality of life in all communities in the region.
Combining Community Heart & Soul’s resident-driven approach to community engagement with Legacy Foundation’s network and resources, the partnership aims to leave a lasting impact on towns and cities across the county.
Legacy Foundation President and CEO, Kelly Anoe expressed her excitement about the partnership: “Building upon our Neighborhood Spotlight initiative, Heart & Soul will bring residents and municipal leaders together to develop a plan for the future. We are thrilled to be partnering with Community Heart & Soul to implement this unique opportunity with Lake County communities and residents.”
