A Community Heart & Soul Seed Grant recipient, this Illinois community looked to the Community Heart & Soul model to ensure input from all residents and revitalize downtown Mendota so all residents have a great place to live, work and play. With Community Heart & Soul, residents in Mendota have been working to identify what matters most about their community, what future they want for it, and how to achieve it. The town has already made considerable progress, connecting with over 200 residents at various community events. Information gathered from surveys and conversations will help guide their community’s plans, priorities, and investments. Stay tuned for more to come!
